A man walked to the top of a hill to talk to God.
The man asked, “God, what’s a million years to you?” and God said, “A minute.”
Then the man asked, “Well, what’s a million dollars to you?” and God said, “A penny.”
Then the man asked, “God…..can I have a penny?” and God said, “Sure…..in a minute.”
Learning : You can’t outdo God!
That’s the power of Communication!!
It’s not about what you say, its about how you say it. God definitely knew how to say what he wanted to say, and what the man was getting at. To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.
When speaking, maintain eye contact as our eyes are the windows to our soul. Your facial expression should match your message you are trying to convey. These are non-verbal hints you need to look for to know that you have communicated effectively.
The human body can produce over 700,000 unique movements. These movements have been partitioned into about 60 discrete and symbolic signals and around 60 gestures, postures and expressions. Body language can be used to improve your negotiation skills, your presentation ability and in different social interactions, including a job interview. Use of voice modulation and the right tone can lead to better business.
Effective communication is two-way and it involves active listening. Its not the same as hearing.
